LOA/Readmission

Leave of Absence (LOA) Application

Leave of Absence (LOA) refers to approved absence from studies for valid reasons, without loss of privileges and rights due to an officially enrolled student of the College.

Policies:

  1. Students may take a leave from their studies should valid circumstances prevent them from enrolling for a particular trimester. In this case, they should request for a Leave of Absence (LOA) to be approved by the Program Director and the Registrar after clearance from the Finance Office and interview by the Guidance Office.

  2. Requests for official Leave of Absence for a current term should be filed not later than the last day of late enrollment.

  3. The approved leave is valid only for a maximum of three (3) consecutive trimesters. If circumstances do not permit the students to officially return to the College within this period, they must renew their request before the current LOA expires.

  4. Students who withdraw from their studies or internship without first securing an official Leave of Absence is considered Absent Without Leave (AWOL), and will have their registration privileges curtailed.

  5. The College reserves the right not to accept students who are on AWOL status.

  6. Students on official LOA status are not allowed to study elsewhere. An Honorable Dismissal is required for this purpose.

  7. Re-admission is a process that students undergo if they have been on leave or absent without leave for a given period. Students with this status are classified as “returnee.”

Application for Leave of Absence should be filed in person at the Office of the Registrar, subject to compliance of applicable clearance requirements. This should be approved by the Guidance Office, Finance Office, Executive Director. Following the government directives on General Community Quarantine (GCQ)  in NCR, APC offices are temporarily closed.  Click this link to proceed with the Online LOA Application.
