
Asia Pacific College (APC) and the Training Command of the Philippine Army (TRACOM, PA) formalized their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony at Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac, on February 28, 2025. The collaboration focuses on providing facilities and research support for a project aligned with TRACOM’s mission to strengthen land warfare training and education.
APC President Dr. Ma. Teresita P. Medado and TRACOM Commander Major General Danilo D. Benavides led the signing, joined by representatives from both institutions. Representing APC’s School of Engineering (SoE) were Executive Director Engr. Leonardo Samaniego Jr., along with project advisers Engr. Luigi Carlo De Jesus and Engr. Einstein Yong. TRACOM officials in attendance included Colonel Diosdado Carlos D. Pambid, Commander of the Combined Arms Center; Major Everette B. Bungue, Information System Officer, CAC, TRACOM; Col. Julius Cabarloc, Chief of Staff, TRACOM; and Major Mark Anthony Dela Cruz, G6, TRACOM.

The event also recognized the APC faculty and students involved in the project. Leading the team were BS Computer Engineering students Jose IV Austria (Project Head Manager), Allain Jodel Tabudlo, Shane Michael Marayag, and Nicholas Ian Mojica (Project Leads). Other key contributors included Aira Pulongbarit (Assistant Manager), Mary Abigail Cruz (Head of Documentation), Aliyah Keara Herrero (Head of Quality Assurance), Laurice Mitzi Balbin (Head of Finance and Logistics), and Nicole Palenzuela (Head of Power Management).
TRACOM representatives provided an overview of their unit’s operations before the official signing. In her closing remarks, Dr. Medado emphasized that this collaboration aligns with the vision of SM founder Henry Sy Sr. in supporting the Philippine Army. She also highlighted how this partnership reflects APC’s commitment to nation-building and its mission to contribute to the country’s development.
