Jehiah Mae Omillo, a Computer Engineering student at Asia Pacific College (APC), credits her education for giving her a strong foundation in both technical and soft skills. She first joined APC as a STEM student and participated in a Senior High School boot camp, where she worked on technical projects early on. She also developed leadership skills as a Project Manager for Project-Based Learning and an officer for ACES.
As a graduating student back in 2024, Omillo took part in APC’s six-month internship program, gaining hands-on experience in the industry.
During her internship at Ingram Micro Philippines, Omillo initially struggled with professional communication. “As an intern, I felt challenged and intimidated on how I can communicate with professionals because it is my first time to experience it,” she shared. “But with the trust and training that was given to me, I was able to overcome it.”
