Asia Pacific College Partners with RESECURITY™ to Strengthen Cyber Threat Intelligence Education

Makati City, Philippines — Asia Pacific College (APC), through its School of Computing and Information Technologies (SoCIT), has entered into a strategic partnership with RESECURITY™, a global leader in cyber threat intelligence and digital risk protection. The collaboration aims to enhance cybersecurity education by integrating real-world threat intelligence tools and practices into APC’s Computer Science and Information Technology programs.

APC is recognized for producing graduates in cybersecurity and analytics, and this partnership brings these strengths together in the field of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)—where data analysis, pattern recognition, and security operations converge. By combining competencies in cybersecurity and analytics, students will be better equipped to interpret threat data, understand adversary behavior, and support proactive offensive and defensive strategies used in today’s industry.

A key component of the collaboration is APC’s newly introduced Cyber Threat Intelligence course. Through this course, RESECURITY’s tools, insights, and methodologies will be embedded into instruction, case studies, and student projects, ensuring strong industry relevance and scalable learning across student cohorts.

“Modern cybersecurity has evolved from static defense to active defense, where the hunted becomes the hunter. At the core of this shift is Cyber Threat Intelligence—where data analytics meets defensive operations,” said Gonzalo Gumogda, Cybersecurity Faculty at APC. “By leveraging APC’s strengths in both fields, we prepare students not just to monitor systems, but to analyze large datasets and anticipate threats before they occur.”

The initiative also strengthens APC’s Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach by enabling students to work on realistic cybersecurity challenges that mirror operational conditions. This experience develops essential skills in threat intelligence analysis, incident awareness, and responsible use of technology, preparing graduates for careers in cybersecurity operations, digital forensics, and risk management.

“This collaboration reinforces APC’s commitment to industry-enhanced education and preparing students for real-world challenges in cybersecurity and analytics,” said Rhea Luz Valbuena, Executive Director of SoCIT. “By working with global partners like RESECURITY, we ensure that our students are trained using internationally aligned tools and practices.”

According to Ben Ouano, Chief Operating Officer, INDOPAC, “The RESECURITY™ Cyber Threat Intelligence platform prepares students for cybersecurity careers by delivering hands-on exposure to real-world adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures, strengthening analytical, investigative, and incident response skills aligned with industry demands.”

The APC–RESECURITY partnership contributes to building a future-ready cybersecurity workforce with globally relevant knowledge and practical competencies, reflecting APC’s continuing engagement with international technology leaders in advancing innovation, security, and digital resilience—true to its philosophy of Real Projects.
