Last May 6, 2026, students from the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program participated in an immersion visit to P&A Grant Thornton, one of the leading audit and professional services firms in the Philippines.
The activity provided students with a valuable opportunity to experience the professional environment of a top-tier audit organization and gain firsthand exposure to current industry practices.

As part of the visit, the students engaged in an insightful session led by Atty. Jansen Calderon, IT Audit Manager of P&A, who shared perspectives on the evolving role of IT audit in today’s audit and assurance landscape.

The discussion highlighted the practical applications of IT audit, its integration with traditional auditing, and its growing importance amid rapid technological advancements and digital transformation. Through real-world examples, students were able to appreciate how IT audit supports governance, risk management, and assurance in modern organizations.
