Academic Council (AC)

The Academic Council is composed of the President and all the Academic Heads of the College that meets twice a month (Wednesday) to discuss current academic or administrative related issues, concerns and problems in order to decide and to formulate academic and administrative policies.

The Council also functions as an approving authority on select matters and oversee policy implementation.

Additionally, at the start of every Academic Year, APC Administrators conduct a two-day workshop to report on the following:

  1. Status of department plans from the previous AY
  2. Top five priority plans for the upcoming AY

During the June 2025 workshop, key plans discussed included pursuing University status, facilities and infrastructure development, strengthening internationalization partnerships, expanding research collaborations, and enhancing faculty development programs.

Resiliency Council

The Resiliency Council is led by the President and is composed of the heads of Technical Services, Academic Services, Registrar’s Office, Human Resources, Finance and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees as adviser.

The Resiliency Council aims to foster collaboration and communication among different members of the community, as it prepares for, adapts to, and recovers from various stresses that affect people, health, infrastructure, and community. The group generally convenes to evaluate situations and decide on the measures to be implemented. While it does not have a fixed meeting day, the group convenes once a month or as needed.

Faculty Consultative Group

The Faculty Consultative Group is composed of representatives of each academic and administrative department of the College. The Group meets once a month to discuss current issues, concerns and problems.
Representatives are asked to consolidate issues/concerns within their department and present to the meeting. They provide suggestions in order to improve the services and to enhance or clarify policies to cultivate a more conducive and productive work between and among departments. The group act a consultative body on process improvement.
Meeting is usually scheduled on the first Wednesday of the month or in the convenience of most members as agreed.
