Asia Pacific College (APC) continues to advance its commitment to industry-centric education through its partnership with the National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL) and Geodata Systems for the 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Election.
Under the NAMFREL Elections Data Analytics Center, a team of 47 students and 9 faculty members from the School of Computing and Information Technologies (SoCIT) and the School of Engineering (SoE) designed, developed, and supported technology solutions that contributed to election analytics, monitoring, reporting, and security initiatives. Students are from the Computer Science, Information Technology and Computer Engineering Programs.
APC’s Contributions
- Analytics Dashboards
Interactive dashboards that provide meaningful visualization and analysis of election-related data such as Results, Election Returns Transmissions, Overvotes, Insights, Voter-Turnouts and other pertinent details. This is hosted in the APC infrastructure via our custom domain to ensure high availability, data sovereignty, and secure real-time visualization.
- Semantic Analysis
Project SAIR (Sentiment Analysis and Incident Reporting) is an AI-powered election monitoring platform that web scrapes publicly available election news from news outlets and uses artificial intelligence (AI) agent to perform aspect-based sentiment analysis, while integrating real-time incident reports from field volunteers into a unified dashboard for BARMM Parliamentary Election 2026 monitoring.
- Operation QR Count 2026 App
The NAMFREL Operation QR Count 2026 (NAMFREL OQC 2026) mobile app allows citizens and volunteers on the field to independently verify election results, through the scanning of the QR codes of publicly posted election returns (ERs).
- Cybersecurity Support
Security measures and monitoring mechanisms that help strengthen the integrity, reliability, and protection of Namfrel-APC election systems.
A Continuing Partnership
The 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Election marks APC’s second election analytics engagement with NAMFREL and GEODATA Systems, following its successful participation during the 2025 Midterm Elections. The continued collaboration reflects confidence in APC’s capabilities in data analytics, software engineering, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
