Students from the School of Engineering (SoE) bagged numerous awards during the ICpEP.se – NCR Chapter CpE Challenge held last December 2, 2023 held in Asia Pacific College.
Marnely Julisse Abordo, Don Joaquin Perez, and substitute contestant Franzis Elmo Camino, under the guidance of Coach Engr. Sergio Peruda Jr. and Engr. Barbra Ianne H. Embile, emerged as Champions in the Logic Circuit Design (Breadboarding) Competition, thanks to their teamwork, problem-solving skills, and ability to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
Meanwhile, Jose Austria IV, mentored by Engr. Einstein Yong, secured the first runner-up position in the Python Programming Competition through his proficiency in the programming language and his ability to develop innovative solutions.
Another student, Julius Anton Aquino, also mentored by Engr. Einstein Yong, achieved the second runner-up position in the C++ Programming Competition. This student demonstrated a remarkable understanding of C++ concepts and their ability to apply them effectively.
Marjorie Co, Darren Derige, and Mary Abigail Cruz, coached by Engr. Sergio Peruda Jr. and Engr. Edward Adriano, clinched the third runner-up position in the Quiz Bowl Competition. Their extensive knowledge, quick thinking, and collaborative spirit were instrumental in their success.
Ruben Jairus Lorono, Rich Diamond Custodio, and Paul Emerson Biag, under the mentorship of Sergio Peruda Jr., showcased their technological prowess and problem-solving skills in the Robothon Competition. Their ability to design, construct, and program robots to accomplish specific tasks was truly impressive.
